Greetings all! Blink. Long time no newsletter… sorry about that.
Remember in the old days when you had to pay for everything with a check? Back in those days (what, like 5 years ago?) it wasn’t until late February or March that our brains would catch up to the fact that the year had changed. Until then we would be writing the wrong date on the check, blink, and then scratching it out, rewriting the date, and wondering where the time had gone.
Well, this is my check to you, and I am scratching out dates and wondering where the time has gone. The last few years have been odd. To say the least. And a bit stressful. And for a lot of us they have also been very busy and disappeared in the blink of an eye. Things are changing rapidly and many of us, myself included, are just trying to keep up. And not always doing such a great job of it.
Sorry about that. Seriously. But, today is a new day, Tuesday starts a new month, and with that we will pull up our saggy socks and forge onward. In this case to The Amelia! Yup, time for the newly rebranded Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance to kick off the car show season. I am looking forward to seeing what Hagerty has planned for the event. Honestly, I am also anxious for some great cars, a bit of Florida weather, and a weekend away. If you are there too please say hello if you see me.
You will notice that there is no news feed in the edition of the newsletter. That will return with the next edition, but I am working on some changes that have necessitated that be left out this time. But be sure to check out some interesting stories on the site such as:
- New Super 3 3-wheeler introduced by Morgan
- BRM discovery of historic original F1 body buck
- IMSA buying into historic sports car racing
- Lotus ends production of 3 models
- and many more stories …
A good number of you have sent in co-pilots that I have to get posted. Those are coming, trust me! Make sure to check out our current co-pilot of the week at the end of each newsletter and on the website.
Well, that i it for now. If you are at one of the shows we are attending please find me, say “hi””, and give me your input – what do you like, dislike, want to see more of with Just British? And send in your events!! We can list them if we don’t know about them.
Until next time get out there and start polishing that chrome. The time for driving and shows is right around the corner.
