Abingdon Spares Acquires Restoration Decals

Restoration Decals are accurate reproductions of labels and decals that are so often missing or damaged on older classics. Now you can complete the restoration of your classic MG, Austin Healey, Triumph, Jaguar and many other classic British automobiles with these exact replicas of the factory installed decals. You can see all the decals that are available at on the Abingdon Spares website.

While Townsend has sold the decal business to Abingdon Spares, he is by no means getting out of the field. He has stated that by turning this business over to a company better suited to handle it, he can concentrate on his artwork for Sports Car Art.

  1. While I really enjoyed drawing the many British car decals, the business had languished over the past few years while I concentrated on my other illustration work. Am glad to have sold it to Abingdon Spares and have it in the hands of someone who is a better suited to properly market the decals. DCTownsend
